Hi, my name is Uldis and I’m a student from Latvia. Thank You for stopping on my blog. I decided to create a blog to show You and others that nothing is impossible. The main idea of blog is to show You how a person can significantly change his life and look at it from different point of view after faced pretty difficult life periods.

My aim for a long-term would be inspiring. Would love to make an organization which helps to go through different difficulties and find motivation not only to re-gain good health, but also feel loved and necessary – because you are so.

      Right, I liked this one. I read more about You on Your blog and I am fascinated by what You have done already and what You are doing. Full respect. Thank You for being that kind of person who is positive and active.

    1. Hello, Mike! You are welcome, it’s amazing opportunity to find out something new what’s important for others. I have heard him singing, it’s a diffeent music style, but it’s great to listen sometimes something different than club music or dubstep. It’s worth it. I also find out that You lived for some while in or at least near Washington. It’s something like a dream for me.. Would like to explore this city or any place of the USA. But I’m positive and will do that some day.
      Also it’s never too late to find out something new. Even maybe for You about Latvia. 🙂 Best wishes for You and Your family in 2016. Would love to keep in touch!

      1. Thanks for writing back, Uldiz. I truly know nothing about Latvia! What can you tell me about it that I would not learn from your blog posts? As for Washington DC, you should visit if you can! It has many monuments, city life, and a great subway transportation system to get around (which is helpful because there are many people and many cars!). I taught high school art there for 12 years before moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico where it is 7000 feet in elevation near mountains in a high desert climate – quite a difference. I have some of my art and photography from both areas posted on my website if you’d care to see it, along with some of my music (definitely not club music!, nor as polished). They’re all on the My Art tab. Anyway, I hope to hear back from you. Best of luck!

    2. Mike, now I’m even more interested in visitng Washington DC. Google helps me a bit, but that’s not what I’m talking about. 🙂
      Actually I have not mentioned Latvia on my blog posts a lot. But in the world there are not very many countries whose people can enjoy four seasons, but people in Latvia can. Cold winters, hot summers – we can watch here girls in bikini, drink coctails and snowboard in the winter. Diversity – that’s great. 🙂 You would also like I think.

  19. Hi Uldiz. How is the new year for you so far? It’s is only life that difficult things come to try us. Everyone goes through difficult and sad and uncertain times. But it is what we do when we learn from those times that helps us to move on. Happy New Year.

  23. Dear Uldis , I just stopped by to see your blog, because you followed mine..thank you!
    What a surprise to read your blog is about anorexia. Difficult for me to express in English, but I try: thats so brave of you to share your very intimate feelings and experience with this topic.
    Some years ago I have been for 8 weeks 24hours a day together with 2 girls facing anorexia and willing to fight against. I lived with them in one room in hospital and got a very personal impression about what is going on in their minds and feelings. I was not struggling with anorexia but another trauma.
    I am very with you when reading your blog!

    My blog is written in german, so I am curious if you understand german?

      I like that You are trying Your best in english. Also for me it’s not my first language, but why don’t try and improve it? 🙂
      Thank’s for Your sweet words! Maybe You know something about those two girls? How are they living now? I hope they are fine and they are happy as well. They deserve it as well as You do. 🙂
      Your blog is in german, but I have learned it at high school. I’m not very good at it. If I would have another opportunity, would like to work harder. But with some help from dictionary it’s possible to understand the main idea of Your blog. 🙂

        Regarding the 2 girls I know one of them is doing well and I see her sometimes.
        Maybe it’s a good idea to write posts in english as well. Its a good practise for me and much more people can understand it. 🙂

  25. Uldiz, I congratulate you on your courage. Your goals most admirable. If you go to America I hope you enjoy yourself. I left California over eight years ago for the sunny Mediterranean in the south of France. For me, there is nowhere else I want to be. I’ve traveled a bit, Canada, Mexico, England, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam but for me this is home.
    During my life in American I lived in California, New York and a few states in-between not to mention visiting others. For me, Home is when you heart knows it belongs. 🙂
